We Tried the Mingle Sparkling Mocktails

We reviewed Mingle Mocktails Key Lime Margarita because, even though Suzy and I are margarita lovers, we still like a refreshing drink minus the booze every now and then. Also, certain occasions practically demand mocktails, like baby showers, office parties, and even holidays.

We love to serve and recommend flavorful products we’ve tested ourselves that we know our family and friends (including you!) will love too.

Mingle Mocktails non-alcoholic cocktails come in various flavors. They are packaged in pretty, solid-colored cans with the word “Mingle” clearly visible. Note that each drink can also be bought in bottle forms at 750ml each, which are perfect for pouring and serving in margarita glasses if that’s what you prefer.

With so many store-bought margarita mocktail products out there, we want to help you choose the best-tasting margarita product that is totally sippable and is not outrageously priced well.

Spoiler alert: We think Mingle is a great option! While fresh lime juice is always part of the perfect margarita recipe, it’s hard to capture in store-bought formulas. This mocktail doesn’t taste like fresh lime but has a delightful key lime flavor that I like almost as much. It’s a great twist on the classic lime flavor.

OUR QUALIFICATIONS: Sharon has been writing about and creating cocktail recipes for almost 10 years. Together, Suzy and Sharon have an immense love of tequila and margaritas and have tasted SO many. We aren’t mixologists, but we feel like we bring the experience of different palates with the common goal of finding delicious products to share with you.

Mingle Mocktails Company Info

Mingle Mocktails is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and caters to customers who want to take a break from alcoholic drinks. According to founder Laura Taylor, mocktails are the perfect drink for those who say “no” to alcohol but still want to feel included in celebrations and other social events.

Mingle Mocktails offers canned non-alcoholic margaritas as well as mocktail versions of the Cosmo, Bellini, Mojito, Mimosa, and Moscow Mule. Each one has its own distinct color in the packaging, so it’s easy enough to tell them apart. However, you can also buy a variety pack from their website containing most of these drinks if you want to try a bunch.

Note that in our reviews, we don’t do a deep dive into the company that makes the drinks. We just want to tell you the basics. If you want to learn more, feel free to read more about the Mingles Mocktail on their website.

About the Key Lime Margarita Mocktail from Mingle

Cost

A 12-can pack of Mingle Mocktails Key Lime Margarita is available for a one-time purchase of $39.95. If you set up a subscription, they offer a 10% discount, bringing the price down to $35.96 for a dozen cans.

It’s priced competitively compared to other canned margarita mocktails. However, if you’re fond of making homemade mocktails or on a tight budget, you might find this a bit expensive. (A classic, 3-ingredient margarita costs around $3 to make at home).

Ingredients

Mingle Mocktails prides itself on using natural and clean ingredients. Its Key Lime Margarita is made of carbonated water, organic sugar, and natural flavors like key lime juice concentrate and orange juice concentrate (a total of 7% juice content). They don’t use artificial sweeteners. You can easily find their ingredients list on their product page

Each 12-oz can has around 50 to 60 calories, making it a superb, low-calorie option if you watch what you eat (and drink). It only offers 25mg of sodium, meaning it has a very low sodium content

As for sugars, each can has about 11g. If you want to cut back on sugar, we suggest enjoying not more than a single can at a time.

Flavors

A can of mingle margarita can about to be opened.

Currently, Mingle Mocktails only offers the key lime flavor for their margarita that we tried for this Mingle Mocktails review

Each of their mocktail drinks comes in only one flavor: Blood Orange Elderflower Mimosa, Cucumber Melon Mojito, Blackberry Hibiscus Bellini, Cranberry Cosmo, and Moscow Mule.

Alcohol Content

Since this is a mocktail, this Key Lime margarita contains 0% alcohol.

Packaging and Presentation

We love the simplicity and cleanliness of the design. If you like a label that’s no fuss and straight to the point, this would appeal to you, too. Mingle Mocktails Key Lime Margarita comes in an eye-catching shade of green, which really does bring the color of lime to mind.

The drink comes in can form, so it has portability down pat as well. It’s no secret that I love a canned drink; they make sipping such a breeze, plus you don’t have to bring a glass anywhere you want to enjoy a drink. This makes them handy for relaxing by the pool, on the beach, or even on a boat.

If you buy from their online store, note that they come in 12 and 24-can packs. If this is your first time tasting a margarita mocktail, you might find the numbers daunting. However, it also means they’re perfect for sharing with friends.

Serving

Since they’re in a can, you can easily serve the mocktail straight from the can or in a glass with ice. You can even serve them in margarita glasses with a sugar basil rim for a more authentic experience!

Tasting Notes

One of the things we noted as we were making this Mingle Mocktails Margarita review is that the drink itself is sweet without being overpowering or cloying. With the key lime flavor, you can’t help but think of key lime pie. And as someone who LOVES key lime pie almost as much as I like margaritas, I really loved the flavor.

Other reviews note that it doesn’t taste bitter, and we agree. However, Suzy doesn’t like the aftertaste, so that’s something to look out for.

I find this drink totally satisfying, especially when I want a margarita without tequila.

Where to Buy

If you’re wondering where to buy Mingle Mocktails, you can order from their online shop or online retailers like Amazon.com (though last time we checked, the products are currently unavailable on that platform).

Overall Rating and Conclusion

As a final note in our Mingle Mocktails margarita review, on a scale of 1 to 5, we’ll give this drink a rating of 4 (I would go as high as 4.5). It’s priced competitively, has beautiful packaging, and is tasty without being overly sweet. While we will always prefer squeezing fresh lime into our margaritas, the citrus notes of this mocktail aren’t bad at all. We recommend that you give it a try.
